Affordable Wireless Services & Infrastructure

AWSI is a research program devoted to investigating new architectures and methods for affordable delivery of services over future, next generation, wideband wireless networks. The AWSI program started 2002 has now entered into its second phase, AWSI/2.

The present program focuses on:

  • Media & Content Wireless delivery mechanisms
  • Heterogeneous (mixed technology) Infrastructure
The program is divided into three projects, which in turn are divided into a total of 10 smaller Work Packages, each with its own area and goals. The overall program decscription, the detail of the work packages as well as status reports etc can be found at:

The program is organized and managed by Wireless@KTH and partially funded by the Foundation for Strategic Research within its IT program.
